I love photographing Cosplay. People really want to convey an interpretation of their favorite characters. It's often playful but can convey other moods too. What makes it fun for me is the ease with which I can direct and photograph people in situations out of the ordinary. This event happened at the Building Museum in DC.
Most indoor venues have ambient light that can best be described as poor. Since this is an active museum, I didn't bring any supplemental lighting and had to rely on high ISO settings and slower shutter speeds. The museum has a large skylight which helped bring in some sunlight though it's winter here and the sky was mostly overcast this day.
